Stuart works with leaders in financial services companies, organised business, development agencies, philanthropic foundations, regulators and governments to develop strategy and market insight. His expertise is focused on financial systems, financial innovation, banking, sustainable investing and policy. He covers emerging markets themes, with extensive experience in analysing sub-Saharan Africa, working with clients from around the world.

Stuart also leads the Krutham board and is responsible for developing strategy for the group.

Stuart was educated at Rhodes University and the London School of Economics and has degrees in economics, philosophy and finance. He holds a PhD from the LSE and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Stuart is a research associate of the London School of Economics’ Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Science and University of the Witwatersrand’s Southern Centre for Inequality Studies.
