Group Chief Operating Officer,
Matthew Mani is the Group Chief Operating Officer of Axis Pension, a leading pension administrator and thought leader in Ghana. In his role, he supports the CEO in leading teams, driving growth strategy, and coordinating activities across the company’s Strategic Business Units.
Prior to this, he served as the company’s Chief Finance Officer (CFO), where he provided strategic financial oversight.
With over 20 years of leadership experience in financial management, treasury, taxation, and corporate governance, his professional background spans the pensions management, health, real estate, and private media sectors — equipping him with a unique perspective on cross-sectoral development challenges.
His previous roles include Finance Manager at Joy FM and Chief Finance Officer for the Ghana Slum Upgrading Fund, a UN-Habitat initiative focused on urban development.
Matthew is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of both ACCA (UK) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting Option) from the University of Ghana Business School and is currently pursuing an MBA.
He is married with three children.
Matthew brings deep financial and operational insight to the conversation on creating enabling environments for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa, particularly through effective public policy and institutional alignment.
