Nyeji Chilembo Mhango is the Founding Partner and CEO of wCap Limited, a Zambia-based investment firm specialising in structured private credit for high-growth SMEs across Zambia and Southern Africa. She brings more than 20 years of experience spanning sovereign debt management, institutional banking, corporate finance, and investment management. Under her leadership, wCap has evolved from a transaction advisory firm into a regulated investment management business and, since 2024, has raised and deployed capital across the Southern African region through investment strategies designed to deliver both financial and impact-driven returns. wCap is a member of 2X Global and Convergence networks. The firm’s current work focuses on expanding financial inclusion for underserved businesses, with a particular emphasis on climate resilience and gender-lens investing. Nyeji serves on the boards of selected portfolio companies and other African businesses, providing strategic oversight, governance support, and investment guidance. She holds an MSc in Development Finance from the University of Reading, UK, and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Namibia. She is a member of the Economics Association of Zambia, the Institute of Directors Zambia, 100 Women in Finance, Advancing Women in Investing, and the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
