Most investors in Africa cannot clearly demonstrate the impact of their capital. In an environment where accountability to LPs, development partners, and regulators is intensifying, this is no longer a reporting inconvenience — it is a strategic risk.
The day before Africa Impact Summit 2026 opens, UNDP timbuktoo is convening a half-day Executive Workshop at Ciêla Resort, Lusaka, designed to close that gap.
This is not a conference session or introductory overview. It is a practical, senior-level training combining investor-grade frameworks, Africa-specific case studies, and a live executive simulation — built for leaders who need tools they can act on immediately.
What participants will leave with:
— A practical IMM framework ready to implement across investment processes and decision-making — A clear approach to SDG contribution — beyond alignment to measurable impact — Investor-ready metrics and a method for integrating impact into investment committees — Africa-contextualised frameworks drawn from real portfolios across the continent
The workshop covers six core modules: the shift from ESG compliance to impact value creation; the timbuktoo IMM framework; SDG Impact Standards in practice; selecting meaningful indicators; linking impact measurement to financial performance and risk management; and a live, case-based executive simulation.
Facilitated by Yugen Pillay, Head of IMM at UNDP timbuktoo and Managing Director of SusTrainability Development Global. Yugen is one of a small number of globally accredited SDG Impact Standards Trainers and Assurance Assessors, and has trained over 800 practitioners across 37 countries.
This workshop is curated to give you the most impact.
Attendance is strictly limited to 30 executive seats and is subject to approval on a curated, first-confirmed basis. Priority is given to pension fund trustees, institutional investors, fund managers, development finance institutions, C-suite executives, and government and policy leaders. Submissions are reviewed before a seat is confirmed — completing the form is an expression of interest, not a guaranteed place.
If you are attending AIS 2026 and your work sits at the intersection of capital, impact, and accountability, this is the morning that sets the foundation for everything that follows.
