Speaker Bio

Dr. Kingsley Godwin is a seasoned development and public policy expert with over 12 years of cross-sector experience managing and implementing large-scale programs across the nonprofit, public, and private sectors. He currently serves as Programme Manager of the Nigerian Impact Investing Research Industry Collaborative (NIIRIC) at the Impact Investors Foundation, where he leads strategic policy advocacy, research, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s impact investing, research, and innovation ecosystem.

In this role, he spearheads the development of high-level partnerships with key government institutions, convening policymakers and stakeholders to support the mainstreaming of impact investing and the development of a national policy framework. He also plays a central role in advancing Research to Commercialization efforts, supporting innovation systems, and bridging the gap between research outputs and enterprise development.

Previously, he held leadership positions including Nigeria Country Manager at impactMarket, Regional Programme Manager at the West Africa Civil Society Forum (WACSOF), Country Representative for the Youth Organization of the European and African Union, and Programs and Partnerships Manager at Ventures Park. In these roles, he led collaborative initiatives involving government agencies, development partners, and the private sector, focusing on governance, economic development, financial inclusion, and youth and women’s empowerment.

He has participated in several prestigious leadership and fellowship programs, including the Global Shapers Community, a World Economic Forum initiative; the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadership Center; the African Changemakers Fellowship; and the Institute of Management Consultants Fellowship. He is also a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).

Dr. Kingsley Godwin holds an Honorary Doctorate in Development Studies from Myles Leadership University. A multi-award-winning changemaker, he is widely recognized for his commitment to sustainable development and his contributions to shaping inclusive growth and innovation ecosystems across Nigeria and the African continent.
