Edward Shabani is a seasoned Civil Servant with 22 years of experience in the public sector and has worked in various Government Ministries which includes; Office of the Vice President, Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Ministry of Finance and National Planning, Ministry of Information and Media and currently serving as Principal Planner- Policy and Planning in the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development. He holds a Master of Science Degree (MSc) in Strategic Management from the University of Derby in the United Kingdom, Master of Science in Economics (MSc) from the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing China, Master’s Degree- Development Studies, University of Zambia and Bachelors of ArtsDegree Economics with Development Studies- University of Zambia and currently studying for a PhD in Economics from the University of Zambia.

In his career he has worked as a banker, lecturer and now as a Civil Servant. He specialties include International Economics, Development studies, Economic planning, Strategic Management, Monitoring and Evaluation among other competences.
