Speaker Bio

Evelyn Castle is the Co-Founder and CEO of EHA Impact Ventures, a nonprofit impact investor that backs early-stage, women-led businesses in Africa with flexible capital, hands-on operational support, and access to local networks. With a gender-smart, founder-first approach, Evelyn is building a new model for impact investing that prioritizes sustainability, community ownership, and long-term systems change over short-term returns.

Over the past 15 years, Evelyn has designed and led high-impact programs across West Africa, including as the Co-Founder and former CEO of eHealth Africa, where she implemented data-driven public health initiatives at scale. Her work has consistently emphasized locally grounded measurement frameworks, practical impact management tools, and the importance of shifting power to African-led organizations. She is widely recognized for challenging traditional models of risk, redefining what “investable” means, and advocating for inclusive capital systems that work in real-world African contexts.

Evelyn brings a depth of experience at the intersection of entrepreneurship, health systems, and impact investing—and is passionate about building tools and narratives that not only measure impact but strengthen it.
