Speaker Bio

Nozipho Ngwabi is a Senior Research and Evaluation Manager at the Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, University of Cape Town.

She leads the Centre’s work on the Innovative Financing for Education to Leave No One Behind (IFE-2-Leave No One Behind) project—a global partnership with NORRAG at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. The project combines research and the implementation of innovative financing mechanisms in education to strengthen evidence for advancing equitable access to education across the Global South.

With over a decade of experience in research, evaluation, and teaching, Nozipho has worked across sectors including financial development, energy, education, health, and social justice.

She holds an MA in Social Development and Policy (University of Pretoria) and an MPhil in Monitoring and Evaluation Methods (cum laude, Stellenbosch University), and is currently completing her PhD in Evaluation Studies.

She has contributed to postgraduate training and research supervision at several South African universities and serves on the legacy board of the South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA).
