Speaker Bio
Daniel Owusu is a leading voice in Africa’s digital innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, renowned for his transformative work in youth empowerment, startup acceleration, and ecosystem development. As a multi-award-winning ecosystem builder and venture strategist, Daniel has impacted over 200,000 young people across the continent through digital skills training, enterprise growth programs, and inclusive innovation initiatives.
He has managed and supported over 32 tech innovation hubs across Ghana’s 16 regions, playing a pivotal role in catalyzing Fintech, AgriTech, Edtech, and HealthTech startups. His leadership spans partnerships with the World Bank, World Economic Forum, UNDP, GIZ, UNICEF, Mastercard Foundation, Impact Investing Ghana, Government agencies, and other global institutions.
Daniel currently leads the Enterprise Support and Transaction Advisory / ESO Africa Collaborative, a pan-African initiative focused on strengthening enterprise support organizations and enhancing investment readiness across the continent. His work bridges the gap between policy, innovation, and capital by designing and delivering programs that enable SMEs and startups to scale sustainably through access to funding, capacity building, and digital transformation strategies.
As a thought leader in venture building, product development, and entrepreneurial ecosystem growth, Daniel actively mentors emerging founders and startups through VC4A, SEEDSTARS, MEST Africa, ALX Ventures, Stellar Development Foundation, CEED Ghana, and many more. His insight and hands-on support continue to shape the next generation of Africa’s tech entrepreneurs.
He also served as the Vice President of Career Development for AIESEC Alumni Middle East & Africa, where he executed cross-country youth development strategies across 26 nations, with a focus on employability, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
Daniel’s role in leading Ghana’s first national research and mapping of startups and Enterprise Support Organizations sponsored by Mastercard Foundation solidifies his position as a key architect of Africa’s innovation and support infrastructure.
In addition, he serves as the Country Youth Lead for the World Bank Ghana Youth Voices, facilitating meaningful youth engagement with the World Bank and contributing to national strategies such as the Country Partnership Framework and sector investment programs.
