Yugen Pillay is the Head of Impact Measurement and Management for the timbuktoo initiative at UNDP, where he leads the design and implementation of impact frameworks across Africa’s innovation and investment ecosystem. With over 27 years of leadership and C-suite experience in sustainability, ESG, and sustainable finance, and as co-founder of SusTrainability Development Global, Yugen has worked extensively with fund managers, corporates, and development institutions to integrate impact into investment decision-making. He is a UNDP Accredited Trainer and one of the first globally accredited Assurance Assessors for the SDG Impact Standards, having trained over 800 practitioners across 37 countries and designed IMM frameworks for climate, clean energy, and SME-focused investment portfolios across Africa.
