Lienda Kavindele leads the impact and ESG strategy at Lendable across financial inclusion and sustainability funds. Her work focuses on building practical systems that integrate impact, client protection, and ESG into investment decision-making and portfolio monitoring. She has led the development of streamlined reporting frameworks across Lendable’s portfolio, including the firm’s annual impact reporting process, with a particular emphasis on simplifying investor requirements, standardising metrics, and bridging the gap between LP expectations and the realities faced by fintechs and small and growing businesses in emerging markets. Prior to Lendable, Lienda worked at Capital Group on sustainability frameworks and at LeapFrog Investments, where she supported technical assistance initiatives for portfolio companies. She holds an MSc in International Business and Emerging Markets from the University of Edinburgh and an Honours degree in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management from the University of Cape Town.
