The Summit Venue

The 2024 Africa Impact Summit will be held at the EMARA Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi Kenya .

The EMARA Ole Sereni is conveniently located just 12 KM from Jomo Kenyatta international Airport with easy access by taxi from the airport as well as the Nairobi Central Business District (10km). The hotel is situated  in a serene location overlooking the famous Nairobi National Park.

Accommodation at the summit venue is limited on a first come basis. If you choose to stay at the Emara Ole Sereni hotel or the adjacent Ole Sereni Hotel, we encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible to avoid any disappointments at the last minute.

Guidance on Travel and Visa Requirements

As of 1 January 2024, foreign nationals, regardless of nationality, can enter Kenya without a visa for tourism or business travel for stays up to 90 days. Travelers must, however, apply for a new Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) here prior to departing for Kenya with exclusion of the following exempted persons;

  1. Holders of valid Kenya Passports or one-way Emergency Certificate issued by Kenya Missions abroad.
  2. Holders of Kenya Permanent Residence, valid work permits and passes.
  3. Holders of valid United Nations Conventional Travel Document issued by the Government of Kenya.
  4. Members of the Diplomatic Missions and international Organisations Accredited to Kenya.
  5. Citizens of East African Partner States; Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda (Exempted for Six (6) months).
  6. All passengers in transit through Kenya arriving and leaving by the same aircraft or transferring to another aircraft and who do not leave the precincts of Airports in Kenya.
  7. All passengers arriving and leaving by the same ship, and who do not leave the ship.

Nairobi has recently witnessed protests in certain areas of the city. While the protests have generally been peaceful, there have been sporadic incidents leading to localized disruptions to traffic and business activities. The situation is currently under control and local authorities are on hand to ensure public safety and maintain order.

Travel and Safety Tips:

  • Stay Informed: Keep yourself updated with the latest developments through reliable local news sources and official channels.
  • Use Trusted Transportation: Utilize registered taxis, reputable transportation services recommended by your accommodation, or trusted ride-sharing apps. Avoid traveling alone at night, especially to unfamiliar areas.
  • Emergency Contacts: Keep a list of emergency contacts handy, including your embassy or consulate, and the conference organizers’ contact information.

Conference Venue and Accommodation:

The Africa Impact Summit will be held in a venue that is located in an area unaffected by recent events.
